The title, “Karanukan” is an etymology of Okinawan words for river (kara) god (nu kan). Directly translated as “the god of the river”, this is a completely original work, wrapped in mystery.
Set in the wilderness of Okinawa, GACKT plays a photographer who is captured by a deep view of the world as he discovers the relationship between a young girl that has stolen his heart and the greatness of nature. The actress that plays the heroine makes her debut after passing an audition process.
